Kinder to School Transition Program

Starting school is a significant milestone in every child’s life, and at Bruthen Primary School, we are committed to making this transition as smooth, positive, and exciting as possible.

Our Kinder to School Transition Program is thoughtfully designed to help children—and their families—feel confident and comfortable as they take their first steps into primary school. We understand that every child is unique, and we aim to nurture their sense of belonging, curiosity, and readiness to learn from day one.

What Our Program Includes:

• School Visits: Regular orientation sessions where children can explore classrooms, meet teachers, and experience school routines.
• Play-Based Activities: Engaging activities that help children develop early literacy, numeracy, and social skills in a fun and supportive environment.
• Family Information Sessions: Helpful sessions for parents and carers to learn more about school life, daily routines, and how to support their child’s transition.
• Meet the Teacher: Opportunities for children and families to build relationships with our caring staff before the school year begins.
